About PRASAE 2023
Utilizing peer knowledge and peer feedback in education brings many advantages: learners compare and align their knowledge with the others, learn to express themselves, and argue out their opinions. Also, in many cases, they may be more willing to accept feedback from their peers than from a formal instructor. Therefore methods like peer review, peer assessment and peer tutoring can be beneficial for students and they can boost social learning in student groups. Self assessment, on the other hand, encourages reflection and contributes to key competencies such as accurate self evaluation and work organization. The importance of these strategies has recently increased with their applications in virtual learning environments (VLEs, either Web- or mobile-based), and more recently with the conception of smart learning environments (SLEs) and massive open online courses (MOOCs), where the instructors may be greatly outnumbered by the learners, and thus peer and self feedback may be the only one that is available.
Whether you are an established researcher with the interest in peer review, peer assessment, peer tutoring, self assessment, or similar topics, or whether you are new in this area and want to learn about more these topics, we warmly welcome you at PRASAE 2023 – the workshop that provides a dedicated forum where the research community interested in these topics can meet, exchange experience, and discuss the fundamental issues as much as the latest development in the area.
This year, the PRASAE workshop will be collocated with ICWL-SETE 2023. We're looking forward to see you in Sydney, Australia!
